Celia offers a unique combination of skills through her physiotherapy
qualifications and experience together with her empathy in treating
both horses and riders.

Her philosophy is to bring together the horse and rider in total
harmony with a deeper understanding of the mental and physical
capability of both. The physical capabilities of the rider can be
enhanced allowing the full potential of both to be achieved.
Assessment of rider movement and stability can be assessed, this will
include specific exercises to facilitate you to become a positively
influential rider.

Celia has successfully treated horses working in many spheres
including eventing, polo and dressage horses.

Behaviour problems with the horse can often be associated with pain
or lack of preparation for the level of training required. Problems
associated with repetitive tasks, associated trauma, muscle structure
and locomotion will be thoroughly explained to ensure that maximum
benefit is maintained for future work.

As well as the more traditional
approach Celia has integrated her
skills, as a classical rider, horse
owner, human and animal
practitioner to work more closely
with the influence of the rider on
the horse.

Postural problems and lack of
flexibility and stability in the rider
often reflects its self to the horses
way of going.

With a philosophy of freedom in
movement she believes riding
should be pleasurable and
comfortable for both creatures and
we owe it to our horse to at least
be a balanced and ‘quiet’ weight
on there backs.

The assessment and education for
the rider looks at individuals
movement and identifies areas of
current or potential problems.

Maintaining a healthy back is an
integral part of the work. Core
stability and balance is assessed
and applied to riding using a
variety of tools, physio balls,
wobble cushions.
