Training for the Horse & Rider

Classical Training is not just for dressage arena or those
wishing to perform high school moves.  Training at the
stud is a holistic approach to horsemanship which includes
loose work, work-in-hand, lunge work and ridden work.
This is backed up with support from the Stud
Physiotherapist.

The aim is very simple - to develop a harmonious
relationship with a horse who is supple, submissive and
willing to work.

This style of training holds no quick fixes, training is along
traditional lines using only basic tack and equipment to
develop correct muscle structure and movement.
Ultimately the horse achieves balance and self carriage.
The rider is light and together they 'dance'

Human Balance and Core Stability Course
This is a ground based clinic - no horse required
A study & practical day looking at Human and Equine
movement, how the two interact and the influence a rider
has on a horses movement.  The aim is to create freedom
in movement for the horse and awareness of balance for
the rider.  Also demonstrations of equine physio exercises
with stud stallions.

Horse Physiotherapy Assessment & Treatment
The horse is an athlete just like a human performing in
sport.  Use of physiotherapy improves the horses natural
range of movement, corrects muscle imbalance and aids
self carriage.  The result - increased performance &
improvement in your horses sense of well being.  Horse
Physiotherapy is available approximately every 3 months
from Celia.

Horse & Rider Physiotherapy Clinic
This is a one to one clinic with horse & rider together (held
at the stud) designed as a natural progress from the
ground based Human Clinic & Horse Physio.  It brings
horse and rider together to look at specific problems for
example stiffness on one rein, problems with transitions,
poor strike off in canter, evasion or why doesn't my horse
seem to understand what I am asking!

Maintaining a Supple Horse Lecture Demo
A ground based course that looks at a horses normal
range of movement and how this movement can be
maintained and developed via ground based pole work.
