How we started We are a small family run business started in 2001, we pride ourselves on offering a top quality service and the personal touch . Our focus is breeding top quality Pure and Partbred Spanish horses. The emphasis of our breeding program is excellent conformation, movement and temperament. Our stallion 'Bierzo', is a wonderful example of his breed. Now starting piaffe, he is a horse with stunning looks, perfect temperament and wow factor movement. He also has an incredible jump. A really superb choice for those looking to breed a wonderful foal with all round ability. The horses we breed are have a talent for dressage but will perform equally well in an all round sphere. In addition we are a centre for classical training / classical dressage in the far south west of Cornwall. We have regular clinic with top international trainer Peter Maddison-Greenwell, Director of El Caballo de Espanol We offer importing services sourcing Spanish horses from Spain. Everything from finding the perfect horse for your requirements, through transportation, paperwork and training/gelding services. The stud works with Chartered Human and Equine Physiotherapist Celia Cohen. With Celia we run courses on human core stability, maintaining a supple horse and much more... | Where are we? St Piran's Stud is situated in the beautiful village of Perranuthnoe, on Cornwall's south coast near St Michael's Mount on Mounts Bay near Penzance. The tranquil village provides a perfect setting for the stud & classical training. | Stud Facilities Set on 12 acres of top class pasture the stud has individual acre paddocks which are tended daily. The stables are large loose boxes housed in a barn with a large area available for horse preparation. Stables are suitable for multiple stallion accommodation. The outdoor training arena is a standard 60 m x 20 m all weather surface with banking around the arena which provides protection from the elements, a natural viewing gallery and aids horse concentration. The indoor flood lit training area is a small school which is big enough to train stud stock either ridden, jumping or loose ground work. This is accessed from the main stable block so negating the need to get wet in the winter.
